Opening reception: Thursday 5 January, 3.30 to 5pm
Live performance at 4pm by Tianli Zu
3 Jan Friday – 13 January 2012
Corresponding with the period of the Sydney Festival, Tianli Zu, a PhD candidate at the SCA will exhibit her recent works. She uses the shadow as a metaphor to reveal the existence of the absent, coincidence and transformation. Having lived in China and Australia for an equal number of years, Zu shares her world-view on the coexistence of nature and technology in our contemporary world.
The exhibition consists of papercuts by hand, light projection and animation with sound; a visual discourse that intends to communicate and interact with the audience physically, psychologically and culturally.
